Georgian service members carried out joint drills alongside their partner forces from the United States, United Kingdom and Ukraine earlier today, within the Noble Partner defence exercise ongoing outside capital Tbilisi.

On the training fields set up for the multinational training involving 13 NATO member and allied nations, a Georgian element carried out an assault manoeuvre on a notional hostile force.

The scenario involved clearing a complex of buildings from enemy troops and providing medical evacuation for any possible "injured" personnel.

Backed by supporting fire from the Ukrainian colleagues, service members of the I Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Armed Forces assaulted the compound after they were deployed from a US National Guard helicopter.

The Black Hawk model helicopter was used in conjunction with the Didgori medical evacuation armoured vehicle, produced by the Georgian State Military Scientific-Technical Centre Delta.

The vehicle and the smaller UH-1H Iroquois helicopter were then utilised to evacuate the injured off the scene of combat, following the successful conclusion of the operation.

Involving over 3,000 troops in command and field drills, the Noble Partner exercise launched on Vaziani Training Area and Camp Norio on August 1.

Involving both staff-level work and field exercises, the drills train participants in live fire, maneuvering and combat support in defensive and offensive operations.
